Our key takeaways from RAPS Convergence 2026 highlight the growing importance of PMCF, real-world evidence and robust study design in an evolving MedTech regulatory landscape

How can research teams move more efficiently from data collection to actionable insights? In this co-authored article, Purdie Pascoe and Displayr explore how research expertise, technology and collaboration can streamline analysis, accelerate reporting and make insights more accessible through interactive dashboards and data visualisation.

Great research is only valuable if it drives action. Discover how better planning, stakeholder engagement and tailored deliverables can help insights resonate further across the business.

Artificial intelligence is becoming an increasingly practical part of market research. From desk research and proposal development to qualitative analysis, reporting and data visualisation, AI is already helping teams manage information more efficiently and explore ideas in new ways. But the real opportunity is not simply to do the same work faster. The more important question is: how can AI help researchers ask better questions, strengthen their thinking and deliver more meaningful insight for clients?

Recently, Director Hazel Haskayne and Director Sebastian Newton attended the EBME Expo, one of the UK's leading events for healthcare technology and medical equipment professionals.

While much of the conference focused on clinical engineering, several themes emerged that highlight how healthcare technology, procurement and innovation are continuing to evolve across the NHS and wider healthcare sector.

SIMALTO is designed to reveal what stakeholders value most when they have to balance real-world demands alongside cost. Rather than rating each feature in isolation, respondents are asked to make choices, showing what they are prepared to prioritise and what they are willing to give up.

We recently ran an internal knowledge-sharing session on endpoints, something we address every day in our post market survey work. We took a step back to define their critical role in protocol and survey design, and how these feed into medical device evaluations and regulations.

At Purdie Pascoe, the best partnerships are the ones that make a real difference to how we work day-to-day, and Metaforms is a strong example of that. It is an AI-assisted platform that supports survey programming, helping turn complex questionnaires into live surveys with less manual effort. One project type that used to take about a week of programming now takes two to three days. For our team, that creates more space to respond when clients need updates with a quick turnaround.

Changing stakeholder perceptions requires more than understanding sentiment – it requires a clear, credible positioning strategy built on real-world feedback. Through a three-phase Delphi research programme, we helped our client refine, test and validate communications in a market where healthcare decision-makers were increasingly sceptical and under-informed.

As we reach the midpoint of 2026, a clear picture is emerging from the conversations we've been having across the MedTech industry. While the topics may seem different on the surface, many are converging around a broader shift in how organisations think about evidence, insight, and the journey from innovation to real-world adoption. Rather than a set of trends or predictions, these are recurring themes we're seeing in practice and believe will continue to shape decision-making across the industry.

This infographic outlines how post‑market surveys such as PMCF and PMPF help generate real‑world data for medical devices, aligned with evolving regulatory expectations. It also highlights when these approaches are most effective across the device lifecycle. Download the full infographic to learn more.

DeviceTalks Boston 2026 brought together MedTech leaders, innovators, and investors to discuss the realities shaping medical device and technology development today. Kristy Beede, Research Director, and Nicole Levin, Associate Director, attended the conference, where the conversations reflected a sector that is becoming more connected, more data-driven, and increasingly focused on scalable, real‑world impact.

Many MedTech companies are rethinking the house of brands model as portfolios become more complex through platforms, digital ecosystems, and long-term partnerships. A stronger masterbrand can help scale trust across the portfolio, simplify complexity, and support adoption of new technologies and services.
